I love a bit of it… and swingin’ tech-house too.

Here’s some mixed with some gypsy style tech-house too…

Erm… not sure what you mean by the title being fucked – title of the post or of the mix?

          Fair play, the title of the post is a bit misleading… probably more acurate to say that its a ‘dubstep/dark techno/loved up dubstep remix/oldschool hardcore/acid breaks/frenetic fidget electro/acid techno/grunge/gabba/tech-step DnB/lovers reggae/techy drum n step/gabba/drum n bass/acid hardcore/dub/brit-hop/raggajungle/hardtek/muppet worms/breakstep/jackin’ techno/hard techno/filthy dubstep/crazy techno/disco-tek/swingin’ tech-house/acid/dubby step/barefoot/deep techno/jackin’ techno darkness/classic acid techno/chickens’ mix! Maybe I sould have just said it was dance music!

Title of the mix (ADHD or ‘Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder’), as sinner69 says, pretty much fits the bill – I just can’t maintain attention on one style of music for more than about 1 record through the set but just about manage to maintain the hyperactive dance-a-thon feel throughout… says it all I reckon!

Thanks for the comments though =)

Just noticed you were talking about Japanese dance music.

These guys just started following me on SoundCloud (my fave website for sharing mixes even though they don’t give you much space) and I really like ’em. Japanese Acid!

I think the people who make it just call it techno, but I reckon this kinda stuff is pretty minimal…

If its gonna be minimal it’s gotta be dark, deep and seriously bass-heavy for me to get into it.

Amazon Music is actually pretty good (and pretty cheap).

You could also try one of these:
Dance Downloads, MP3 & WAV Music Tracks at Juno Download
                Beatport

(Da missus loves junodownload for searching, but usually ends up purchasing from Amazon because they are a bit cheaper)

You could also try searching on Soundcloud for artists or genres, there is LOTS of free music available on there (plenty of artists release their stuff for free so its 100% legit) and if its not free, they usually have a link to where you can purchase (usually either beatport or itunes).

                Hope this helps

Sorry dude, the link to my Soundcloud page is usually in my signature.

I was actually referring to the L4L 2011 mix, but I have uploaded another set since then (2Rd4L4L) which I reckon is probably up your street too…

Lovely bit of acid there by the way 😉

You will probably like my latest set (on Soundcloud) too by the way – its a bit more acid trance than acid techno, but should be up your street =)

Been meaning to do a similar set to this for a while too as it goes, must get round to it soon. I seem to remember that you uploaded an old DnB set around the same time as I did the same too… must be weirdly connected some how 😉

I have been in som edark places, but I don’t think suercide was ever an option.

One of my oldest friends killed himself when I was about 18 I guess, and I still haven’t forgiven him for it. I understand that his life is easier now (well, its over) but he certainly didn’t make it any easier on the people who loved him and I’m sure that if he carried on he would be a happier person now.

Got another friend who was considering it recently and I have told him that if he ever considers it again he MUST come to visit, we will work out what all of the options are and if ending it all seems like the only answer then I will help him out… but if topping himself is not the best answer he has to take that on board too.

Gotta hand it to the people who actually go through with it though – its can’t be easy (sorry – not got much patience for people who use it as a threat… which is different to thinking it is the only option and just not actually doing it which is the more sensible option, all things considered).

I like a lot of dubstep, been through a dark and minimal phase, been through a monster death-by-wobble phase, been through a dubby/reggea inspired phase, been through a breakstep phase, even been through a bit of a grime phase and still enjoy a lot of it… gotta be new and interesting for me though, I’m not big on a musical style just for the sake of it and because everybody else is into it.

I’m not a fan of trance, but I’m not prepared to write off a whole musical style in one fell swoop. I try to judge each tune on its own merits.

Here’s some of my faves (one is in my sig already):

“The world is like a ride at an amusement park. It goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it’s very brightly coloured and it’s very loud and it’s fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, “Hey – don’t worry, don’t be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride…” But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok. Jesus – murdered; Martin Luther King – murdered; Malcolm X – murdered; Gandhi – murdered; John Lennon – murdered; Reagan… wounded. But it doesn’t matter because: It’s just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one. Here’s what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money that we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace. ” (Bill Hicks)

“Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration – that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There’s no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we’re the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather.” (Bill Hicks)

“They tell us “Rock’n’roll is the devil’s music.” Well, let’s say we know that rock is the devil’s music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin’ jams! If it’s a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin’ Block … I’m gonna be surfin’ on the lake of fire, rockin’ out.” (Bill Hicks)

“You see, I think drugs have done some good things for us. I really do. And if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight. Take all your albums, all your tapes and all your CDs and burn them. ‘Cause you know what, the musicians that made all that great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years were rrreal fucking high on drugs.” (Bill Hicks)

“I’m glad mushrooms are against the law, because I took them one time, and you know what happened to me? I laid in a field of green grass for four hours going, “My God! I love everything.” Yeah. Now, if that isn’t a hazard to our country … how are we gonna keep building nuclear weapons, you know what I mean? What’s gonna happen to the arms industry when we realize that we’re all one?!” (Bill Hicks)

“All governments are lying cocksuckers.” (Bill Hicks)

“It is very dangerous to be right when the government is wrong” (Sartre)

                                                      That’ll do for now…
